1Bd Studio - Countryside Retreat

The Retreat was well-equipped and organised for such a small space. The location was great- private and peaceful- and great communication throughout.

Arrived in 38oC - a lovely little ‘cottage’ in a beautiful village. Everything was exactly as described - a very characterful historic little cottage with use of a private garden space. Very Quiet/ peaceful. Internally compact but well designed/ furnished, Comfy bed. Linen immaculate. Well provided kitchen and bathroom with everything supplied. Initially, I had been daunted by the amount of online information Apex asked me to give - photo ID eg (passport or driving licence) which I didn’t easily know how to do (older person). My son had to help. The online communication was excellent though and I would certainly use Apex again. There was a problem with the wooden front door lock (38oC had distorted the wood) but a lovely Apex person came within 20 mins with tools etc to solve the problem. It was lovely to actually meet a person. He kept in good contact with me making sure all was well. I was visiting family nearby and will certainly book the cottage again next time I’m down!

The place reflected its name ‘The Retreat’ perfectly! Although situated next to the White Hart pub it was really quiet and peaceful. I was impressed with the enclosed garden space which also was very private. It met my expectations perfectly. Would definitely stay here again.
